The Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Thassos (ΔΕΥΑΘ) has been offering its services to the island of Thassos for more than 20 years. Thus, the company has set to celebrate this milestone by refreshing its digital profile, oriented to the elements of the modern digital era. This task was handed to Artware and we have been entrusted to accomplish the project of designing ΔΕΥΑΘ’s new website. The goal of the new website was to highlight the 20 years history and activity of the Company, but also to underline its modern perspective on the digital upgrade of its provided services.
Web design inspired by the refreshed brand elements
The design of ΔΕΥΑΘ’s new website aesthetically blends with the philosophy of the company’s refreshed corporate identity and it is inspired by its new brand elements, marking the transition to the new, modern and digital era. Through the characteristic color palette and the fluidity of the design, we proceeded to design a website that will reflect the company’s modern perspective. The visual and graphic elements, the custom icons and the animations’ flow are aesthetically oriented towards the purity of this message, while the website’s visual communication content underlines the modern aesthetics.
Responsive design that stands out
It couldn’t be a modern website if it didn’t stand out for its responsive design. We want the user to be able to use all the integrated digital services comfortably via their smartphone or tablet, thus we designed a website that can display its full content easily, comprehensively and targeted on any type of mobile device’s screen, without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics or user experience.
Smart applications designed for ΔΕΥΑΘ’s new website
The digital era for ΔΕΥΑΘ is also characterized by the integration of smart applications on its new website. We’ve designed and implemented in collaboration with Lioncode’s web developers the integration of smart apps and digital services, regarding the water service’s bills (calculation, e-bill updates and payment), water supply network failure declarations, requests and direct communication with the ΔΕΥΑΘ.
The web design ensures the easy-to-use and fully comprehensive environment of the website’s smart applications, making them accessible and friendly even to users less familiar with digital apps and services.
Custom icons for content communication
The web design of ΔΕΥΑΘ’s new website also included the creation of an extensive set of custom icons, which follow the aesthetics and characteristics of the company’s renewed corporate identity. Through these icons, the user receives quickly and easily the targeted information, despite the rich informative content which is necessarily included in the website’s informative sub-pages.
Web designed inspired by audiovisual elements
An informative video, created by Artware, has been integrated into ΔΕΥΑΘ’s new website, presenting the actions, objectives and strategic planning of the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Thassos. Beyond its direct integration, a large number of the video’s visual elements was used in web design, homogenizing the website’s aesthetic identity with the elements of the company’s visual communication material.
