Egnatia Aviation – Web Design
Egnatia Aviation is one of the leading pilot training schools across Europe, with an expanded international student and collaborative source base. Within the framework of a wider renewal, and after the creation of the new corporate identity of the School, Artware undertook to create the new website of Egnatia Aviation, according to the new philosophy and the company’s new strategy of presentation and communication.
The basis of the communication data revolved around Egnatia Aviation’s advantages over competition. These features were highlighted via both the creation of the appropriate quality content and the specialised design of the website itself, in order to achieve the most complete presentation. In simple terms, this means that the whole of the website consists of custom design, without the use of ready-made templates, marketing oriented content and user-friendly features, ready to help the visitor navigate easily and located the information of their interest.
The concept and the goals
Egnatia Aviation is not just a school that provides major Airlines with pilots; it is an Academy that creates well-trained pilots in each category of specialisation. From Private Pilot Licenses to well trained professionals, Egnatia Aviation offers industry specific curricula for all kinds of Pilot Licenses, approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency and following the latest international aviation standards.
The essential design of the final result allows the visitor to follow the motto of the company “From A to Airline”, i.e. to learn about the Pilot Training Academy itself, about the programs it offers, and then even complete their enrolment in one of them. Through the ideal design, creation and strategic placement of content, Egnatia Aviation’s new website is not only a simple “information manual”, but an interactive way of informing and interacting with the services offered by the School.
Targeted Call-to-Action
The communication strategy of the website has as its main purpose not only to transmit the information to the visitor, but also to motivate them to act according to their interest. Through a simple process, the visitor can deepen and discover more information about Egnatia Aviation, its features and the offered training programs, but also to complete the enrolment in one of them. Through the content, but mainly through the design of the website’s interactive part, the visitor is guided by an uninterrupted flow of information and prompting towards the final goal of the action. A multitude of buttons calling for next action are strategically placed on all relevant points of interest.
Through specialised design and the call-to-action implementation, the person concerned is one step ahead of the registration, already by entering to the website. Through a planned path of information, the final stage of their visit is the decision to enrol in the training program of interest, or to follow Egnatia Aviation by receiving quality content and newsletters. Creating content is completely targeted towards the specified audience, creating direct intimacy towards the target group, which can easily follow the flow of information, as well as the direction towards selecting the desired training program.
Fully Customised Design
A project like this could not be approached in any other way than the entirely unique design of both the structure of the site itself and its content, always based on the need to present the information itself. Thus, Artware completely designed a total of 60+ pages, creating specialised structures according to both the content itself and the communication strategy that defines it.
The basic structure, even when it is repeated on relevant pages, is built entirely to match exclusively to the content itself. Along the same lines, the graphic content design is directly dedicated to both the graphic part of the page design and the information transmission.
Responsive Design
Due to the versatility of the new Egnatia Aviation website, our aim was to ensure unobstructed access and navigation from both PCs and portable devices, and thus using any type of screen, browser and browser version without missing out any information or apply partial presentation in both vertical and horizontal navigation. This is not only a challenge of aesthetic, but it also allows the visitor to more easily manage a wide range of information and always have an unobstructed access to it.
Auto-adjustable content, from the menu to the image and text layout, allows for the ideal viewing format at any aspect ratio. Collapsing, resizing, layout adaptation and data folding are only a few of the features of the responsive design.
